Iraqi President postpones his Saturday Tehran visit

In the midst of fresh violence on Friday that claimed more than 200 lives in Baghdad, which resulted in a curfew and closure of the airport, Iraqi president Jalal Talabani postponed his visit with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran scheduled for today. He insisted that he will fly to Tehran as soon as the airport is reopened and the trip is still on. Through his spokesman, Talabani called the earlier reports of a three way Talabani-Ahmadinejad-Asad summit in Tehran on Saturday as false. I first reported about the story here:
